Evergreen Hardscaping, Pools & Tree Care was founded in 1996 by Scott Berry with a simple mission: build outdoor spaces that last a lifetime. What started as a one-man hardscaping operation in Newark, Delaware, has grown into a full-service outdoor living company with two ownership divisions and more than 15 services.
Over the past three decades, Evergreen has completed thousands of projects across Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. From custom paver patios and in-ground pools to outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, and masonry, the company has earned a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and transparent project management.
In 2019, Sergei Dorno joined the company to lead a new tree care division, bringing professional arborist expertise in tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, and emergency storm response. Today, Evergreen is a true one-stop shop for every aspect of outdoor property improvement.

Scott Berry
Owner — Hardscaping DivisionScott founded Evergreen Hardscaping in 1996 and has led the company through three decades of growth. He oversees the hardscaping, pool construction, outdoor kitchen, and masonry divisions. With over 28 years of hands-on experience in outdoor living construction across the tri-state area, Scott brings a rare combination of design vision and field expertise to every project. His work has earned three EP Henry Contractor of the Year awards and has been featured in national publications and on television.
Sergei Dorno
Owner — Tree DivisionSergei joined Evergreen in 2019 to establish and lead the tree care division. A professional arborist, Sergei specializes in tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, lot clearing, and emergency storm damage response. His expertise allows Evergreen to handle complete property transformations from the canopy down to the hardscape, making the company a single point of contact for homeowners planning large-scale outdoor projects.
