Property Measurement & Base Model
We start by measuring your property and creating a scaled base model that includes the house footprint, existing hardscape, fencing, grade changes, trees, and any other fixed elements. Drone photography or satellite imagery is layered in to provide accurate context. This base model becomes the canvas on which every design element is placed, so proportions, setbacks, and spatial relationships are accurate from the start rather than estimated.
Material Visualization
One of the most valuable aspects of 3D rendering is the ability to see actual materials in context. We apply manufacturer-accurate textures for specific paver styles, natural stone varieties, pool finishes, countertop surfaces, and wood stains directly to the model. We render both so you can see how each option interacts with your home's exterior color, the tone of your roof, and the surrounding landscape. Multiple Design Concepts
For projects where the layout is not yet finalized, we can produce two or three concept variations. One might feature a rectangular pool with formal symmetry, another a freeform pool with natural stone coping. One layout may position the outdoor kitchen adjacent to the house, another places it poolside under a freestanding pavilion. Reviewing these options side by side makes it significantly easier to identify which layout maximizes your yard, fits your entertaining style, and stays within budget. Changes at the rendering stage cost nothing compared to changes during construction.
Day & Night Renderings
We produce both daytime and nighttime views of your project. Daytime renderings show material colors, plant textures, and shadow patterns at their most accurate. Nighttime renderings incorporate your planned landscape lighting design so you can see how the space will look after dark, including underwater pool lighting, pathway illumination, architectural uplighting, and the warm glow beneath a pavilion ceiling. For many homeowners, the evening view is what sells the design.
Revisions & Approvals
3D design is an iterative process. After the first rendering, we sit down with you to review every element. Want the fire pit moved three feet closer to the pool? The pergola columns wrapped in stone instead of painted wood? A different paver border pattern? We make adjustments and produce an updated rendering. This revision cycle continues until you approve a final design that you are completely confident in. Most projects go through two to three rounds of revision before reaching approval.
